She's going around to pull them back together. It's not like the chickens don't know she's there. Especially, Berry (Barred Rock, on the right facing the camera)....staunchly standing his ground giving Calla a stern eye. For a pup to continue on her "mission" in a confident manner is what the cattle farmer liked about this pup, known to him by a wonderful lil' ES as Susie 2. She is sadly misssed.
