CEDAR CREEK LADY

Lady was a born hunter. She showed her hunting ability as early as any pup I've raised. When she was 7 weeks old, she sniffed out a single field mouse from my flowerbed, laid down and ate it so fast no other pup noticed. Her nose was to the ground at all times.

She was the last pup to leave the "nest" although it was not due to her being lesser quality for she was one of my "favorites". I had named her "Lady" (my sweet lil' lady), Orlin and Mary thought the name fit her perfectly let alone, she already knew it.......couldn't have picked a better name.

Lady always has such a spark of happiness in her eyes. Due to her willingness to hunt, it was not uncommon seeing her on the go in a determined and thoughtful way. She will not miss anything! She's a lot like her mother for she finds the need to check out every thing, whether she has to climb over, under, through or around to do it. She'll leave no stones unturned. Sweet natured, wants to be a lap-dog.

She lives on a farm with her retired farmers (40 minutes NW of us). They raised and fed cattle all their working days besides growing/harvesting their own grain.

They have a beautiful farm/home with a large pond and of course the buildings that are no longer housing livestock. These empty buildings are magnets to all sorts of critters and varmints.

Lady has been keeping their farm rid of all unwanted "wild things", even chasing the wild geese out of the pond, off the property as she views them as "predators". When her "job" is all done, she's content lying either in front of the gargage, the front door or on the couch.

Even though Lady was the only pup available, she would've been the "pick of the litter" for Orlin and Mary.

When I visited them April 2006, Lady was 6 months old and she gave her warning barks letting them know a "stranger" had arrived. Soon she was that bouncy, lovable, sweet natured "pup" I remembered her being.

She has a wonderful, loving family who all think she's the BEST dog they've ever owned! Their grandkids eagerly anticipate each and every visit just as Lady loves it when they are there.

Lady is a real people-orientated gal, loves being with her people, therefore her favorite spot is on the couch where she has a huge picture window to look out, not missing out on anything.

However, she does not spend much time inside for she knows there is "work" to do outside.

What a great companion dog she has made and yet she has her own farmhome to make sure everything is as it should be.
