Hugo lives on a dairy farm in NW Iowa and is the 5th English Shepherd they've had in the past 40+ years. In fact, the last 3 were Hugo's maternal great aunt/uncles, (from the James' in South Dakota) therefore comparably speaking, Hugo is actually very much the same.
At one year of age, he's said to be just wonderful, a good listener and does what's asked of him when working the cows. Yet still a pup, he thinks he has to sit on your lap as noted above.
He's a sweet, sweet dog but when it comes to cows, he's all business!
