Cedar Creek Thelen's Ernie

At 8 weeks old ~

Ernie will warm anyone's heart! He's laid-back to the point of being a true lap-dog and yet when it comes time to "work", he's right there willing and able to do whatever is expected.

He is now living with a Nebraska farmer who hasn't had an English Shepherd for 15 years and was a Christmas present from his daughter. Ernie will be a loving companion and of course when it's chore time, he'll be right there to help with their cows, calves and bulls.

Greetings from Nebraska,

I just wanted to email you and let you know that my dad loved Ernie.  We gave him a box of dog toys and then let Ernie wander into the room.  He was very surprised.  I will send pictures as soon as I am able.  I wanted to do a quick note to let you know that my dad decided on the name Ernie.  He said everybody was already calling him that and he couldn't think of anything better, so I guess it has stuck.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Hi Peg,

I know it is a long time coming, but here are some pictures my sister took of Ernie when they were planting potatoes. He is still a lap dog and will take every opportunity to be by my Dad if possible. He even crawled up on the tractor for a ride. He is also protective of my nephew who is also in the picture. Whenever Ayden is outside there is no seperating them. Ernie is not very small anymore but still insists on sitting on your lap and being wherever you are at any certain time. He is a very good dog and follows commands very well. He fetches, sits, lies down, and will pretty much learn any new command easily. Dad said that he reminds him of our previous English Shepard, Fritz, alot. Thank you for making Ernie a part of our family.

Melissa!
