"The Most Happiest Pair"

23 MONTHS

Hi Peg,

Poppy has come to adore every one of the 6 grandkids! The 3 year old girl - Olivia just adores Poppy. The other night the girls were over with all the kids and when it was time to leave they dragged Olivia out of here literally screaming and crying " I don't want to leave, I hate to leave, don't make me leave!!" After Sarah struggled and got her strapped into her carseat she looked down and there was Poppy. Sarah told Livy "oh look, Poppy is here to tell you bye" The 3 yr old stopped crying immediately, looked down, nodded her head and said "Pop, get in!" Poppy cleared the car seat & child, landed sitting in the middle of the back seat. Of course, the dad came by right then and YELLED - Who put the dog in the car? Why is the dog in the car? Get the dog out of the car!! Sarah looked at her husband and said - "talk to the 3 yr old!"

I asked Livy the next day - "were you trying to steal my dog?" She got such a naughty grin and said "No!" I don't know why that dumb dog does whatever that dumb 3 year old tells her to do! LOL
Livy tried to make her eat a rock - Sarah told her - dogs don't eat rocks. Livy told her again "Poppy, eat this!" Poppy very dutifully took the rock into her mouth and as soon as the 3 yr old walked away - she spit it out! That was hilarious!! Pop will be be 2 soon! Can't believe it! She of course has been just the BEST DOG EVER!

10 MONTHS

Poppy was at Bridlewood this Morning with me doing chores. The goats and her had quite a time. They wanted in the grain wagon and she told them no they won't! She's getting bolder at moving those stubborn goats. They do catch her once in awhile - just makes her more determined to "move them"!

9 MONTHS

Hi Peg,
Poppy is 9 mos old now, weighs in at 47 lbs. last time I checked her. She is such a good dog!!!! Everyone who sees her just falls in love with her. She does her best to correct the McNab whenever I holler at Rona. Rona is not intimidated! Even tho Poppy is taller and outweighs her. Rona is still faster and stronger.

She has started to come into her own at the stables. She knows (of all those people) who belongs to Bridlewood and who doesn't! She lets me know when there is a stranger on the place!

I can look out my window at home and tell immediately where Poppy is by the herd of my barn cats that follow her around! Rona comes into the barn and all the cats hiss and spit - Poppy comes in & they all wind around her feet and head bump her. Even tho she puts her feet on them and mouths their heads!
